Hannah Judge has been a champion of the local music scene in Ottawa since before she even made music herself. From gifting mix CD’s to the newcomers in her life to cold emailing bands for opening slots in the local bars, Hannah’s passion for her community bled through music. After quietly creating demo’s in her bedroom and a brief involvement in a three piece girl rock band, fanclubwallet was formed and the single “Interstate” was released not long after in early 2020. With Hannah at the helm, the sound of fanclubwallet is often described as “carefully cultivated lo-fi”, “bedroom pop” (quite literally at times the music was made from bed whilst Hannah suffered from illness) and “casio-pop” while taking influence from bands like Hop Along, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, and Frankie Cosmos. Hannah creates hi-fi / lo-fi soundscapes that feature raw and real lyricism, unique keyboard sounds, and funky bass lines to dance to.
Avant même d’être musicienne, Hannah Judge supportait déjà la scène musicale locale d’Ottawa. Que ce soit en offrant des démos sur CD à tous ceux qui croisaient sont chemin, ou en offrant à tous les groupes locaux de faire leur première partie, Hanna Judge a toujours vécu pour la musique. Après avoir créé quelques démos à domicile et s’être impliqué dans un groupe rock féminin, cette dernière a créé fanclubwallet et le single « Interstate » a vu le jour au début de l’année 2020. Le son de fanclubwallet est souvent décrit comme étant lo-fi, bedroom pop ou même de casio-pop. Il est certainement influencé par des groupes comme Hop along, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone et Frankie Cosmos. L’artiste Hannah Judge offre également des paroles tranchantes et réelles, des sons de clavier uniques et des lignes de basse funky entraînantes.
