SILLA AND RISE, TOO ATTACHED, CITY FIDELIA, AND KEYNOTE SPEAKER DR. SUSAN ROGERS ADDED TO MEGAPHONO V
MEGAPHONO is pleased to add 13 more showcasing artists to the 35 previously announced for MEGAPHONO V (February 7-9, 2019) earlier this month. We're pleased to welcome back throat-singing dancefloor trio Silla and Rise, sibling pop duo Too Attached, Francophone roots artist Mélissa Laveaux, soulful street poet/rapper City Fidelia, local vocal powerhouse Rebecca Noelle, and many more.
We're very pleased to also announce that Dr. Susan Rogers will join us as a keynote speaker for MEGAPHONO V! Dr. Rogers will share stories from a fascinating career, including working as staff engineer for Prince in mid-80's during the Purple Rain era, as well as work with David Byrne, Tricky, The Jacksons, The Barenaked Ladies, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and more. Dr. Rogers currently heads up the Perception and Cognition Laboratory at the Berklee College of Music. She will join us at MEGAPHONO to share stories from her varied career, as well as her real world applications of her research into psychoacoustics and the psychology of record-making.
